Direct Sales Leadership Conference in Houston Texas

I just got back from a great trip to Houston Texas. I was honored to speak at the 3^rd Annual Be the Change Conference. This conference is not a company-sponsored event. but led by 2 amazing top leaders in the company, Dana and Kristy. The tagline for the event is Inspire, Encourage and Learn.

As Presidential Director, I spoke about my Journey to the Top. I shared my direct sales story which spans across a 28-year timeframe! It was great to reflect back on my beginnings in the industry. I hope that my story inspired those in attendance that they too can have success in direct sales

This leadership conference is not about titles though, in fact, it is designed for everyone in a leadership role, from Executive Consultants and up. Executive consultants are Pink Zebra’s first level of leadership.

Valuable Training

The agenda was full of great speakers. We learned some tips on how to run our businesses using various sales techniques and social media. We also got some great leadership ideas on how to manage our teams and work together. We learned how to deal with various leadership issues, and how to lead our teams with grace. Overall, I believe we gained some really valuable training.

Pink Zebra’s owners, Tom and Kelly Gaines also made an appearance, as well as a motivational coach and trainer Justin Prince, via Zoom.

This 2-day conference was a great way to meet other likeminded consultants. Lunch and dinner were also part of the event so it gave us all the time to mingle. One of the exercises involved gathering in a circle to play a game designed to get us all to get to know each other better. I left the event feeling inspired and ready to put all I learned into action for my business. I made some great connections with people that I had only known online as well as was able to spend time with some of my team members. If you ever have a chance to attend a meeting such as this, I highly encourage it. It’s not only good for the mind but for the soul.
